Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh Partners with CannonDesign to Design Seneca Valley Schools

CannonDesign is proud to announce the Seneca Valley School Board has selected us to design its new Evans City Elementary and Middle School. The project will create a valuable new learning space in the Pittsburgh region to educate students long into the future. Ultimately, the new school will replace the current 79-year-old Evans City kindergarten to 6th grade school.

One of many interesting stories surrounding this project includes our partnership with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh to create research based, leading-edge learning environments.

This partnership unites our K12 design expertise with the museum’s deep understanding for creating successful hands-on children’s learning environments and experiences to improve learning. It will allow us to explore and understand what happens when schools are as fun, inspiring, and engaging to be in as children’s museums. We believe the results of this partnership will strengthen the Seneca Valley District, learning outcomes for its students, and serve as a model for how K12 schools can better inspire and engage students and teachers across the region and nationally.
